We originally had an idea of documenting a friendship between two males where one of the males had passed away, This initial idea on paper worked really well, however when it came to film, it didn't work as well as we had hoped as we found it a little difficult to convey the message that we had intended to show. As well as this, we had some casting issues which maybe made out idea more difficult to carry out. As the casting was unstable and we had people letting us down after telling us that they're able to film for us and with time running out to begin filming, we decided that it would be best to change our idea.
We decided that in changing our idea, we could do it from a 'point of view' of the singer who was looking back at an old relationship and memories they shared together. This idea was influenced by the music video 'Smack My Bitch Up' by The Prodigy which we saw in one of the previous media lessons.
